We have been devastated by the destruction of our mural on Saturday October 18th at 9am. We do not know these vandals and the act was of pure malice. The fact that paint was thrown over our cow Bessie and her leukemia awareness bell, is just pure evil. Our mural was completed in July 2025 and is a dedication to our family and the history of Grand Island, nothing political whatsoever. At this point we do not know how much it will cost to fix it. We have to buy special chemicals to hopefully wash off the latex paint without harming the artwork. But if it does, the artist may have to come back to touch it up then another sealer applied that is $110 a gallon.

We are starting an online fundraiser to help raise money to fix the mural and restore our beloved Holstein cow to her glory. We are selling rubber bracelets, stickers and gorgeous hand crotched cows in order to raise the money needed to fix it. Every little bit helps! The bracelets and stickers will be shipped to you. If you live in Grand Island, the cows after purchase can be picked up at Mi Gente Market at Webb Plaza 2418 N Webb Road, Suite N. Just bring your receipt.
